Health Promotion Projects on Mental Health

Development and implementation of a positive psychology intervention to improve mental health among secondary school students and teachers in Hong Kong

 

The aim of the proposed study is to develop and evaluate a novel and evidence-based online PPI to improve emotion regulation and reduce HIV risky behaviors among MSM in Hong Kong. A 2-armed randomized controlled trial will be conducted, Chinese men who self-reported having anal sex with another man in the past six months will be recruited and randomly allocated into the intervention (N=170) and the control group (N=170). Participants in the intervention group will be invited to take part in a 4-week online PPI which contains various positive psychology exercises. Participants in the control group will only receive didactic information about HIV online.
